• January 13 - An Imperial picket entered the Centus System in pursuit of an Alliance of Planets Explorer Corps vessel. The Imperial captain opened fire on the first ship he encountered. The ship's shields were more powerful than anything the Empire had encountered before, completely absorbing the particle cannons of the Imperial picket ship. The unknown vessel proceeded to blow the Imperial warship to pieces.

• January 15 - The fleeing Explorer Corps ship was soon rescued by the United Mesarthrim Clans, who welcomed news of their old home. The Mesarthrim were an early colony of Terra that was abducted by the Anderung prior to reaching their intended destination. Mesarthrim technology was powerful, and they soon allied with the Meroniri, Ikronin, Lorithos and the United Earth Alliance survivors in the Titan System. The Mesarthrim subsequently declared war on the Empire.

• January 19 - When he received the United Mesarthrim Clans delegation and Andreas Tischler's formal declaration of war, Lucius Black recognized the danger of an enemy with significantly superior technology, but believed that he could win. He recalled Grand Admiral Hadrian and half of the Royal Imperial Navy to Terra to prepare for the invasion he believed would soon follow.

• January 24 - The United Mesarthrim Clans signed the Alliance of Planets Great Charter and were accepted as a Member State.

• February 8 - While it was not published publicly until later, Scott Sanburn wrote a letter home to his wife Lynn reminiscing on the dark years the two of them had suffered together. The letter was overflowing with patriotic pride for the colonists of the Titan System, and Lynn Sanburn soon shared it with the Titan City press. The letter became the first in a series of propaganda campaigns titled "Letters from our Soldiers."
• February 9 - Emperor Black had miscalculated yet again. The Mesarthrim allies of the United Earth Alliance were not interested in conquest, but in breaking the siege of the Titan System. A Mesarthrim fleet, led by Uber-General Andreas Tischler, entered the Titan System and joined with Scott Sanburn's fleets in orbit of Rhea. Imperial Admiral Robert Marshall decided that his forces were stretched too thinly, and ordered a full retreat to Cronus. The ground-defense facilities there were the second-strongest in the galaxy, surpassed only by the Emperor's fortress on Terra.
• February 10 - The combined allied fleets attacked Marshall's forces on Cronus. Considering the overwhelming numbers, and being outclassed in technology by both the Mesarthrim and United Earth Alliance forces, Marshall performed brilliantly. In the course of the two-day battle, Marshall's forces managed to incur 20% fatalities on the ground forces, and over a 90% rate of minor to severe damage on the space and ground equipment. Marshall's fleet took 60% losses. Only Marshall's own flagship, the HMS Atlas, was completely unscathed, and that was only due to the superb performance of the crew. Marshall was forced to withdraw.
• February 12 - With the loss of the Royal Imperial Navy ships in orbit, the fall of Cronus was a foregone conclusion. Cronus was mostly a logistics and intelligence base, and the few thousand Royal Imperial Army troops on the surface mostly fought a delaying battle to allow the Omegas to destroy their network of contacts to agents operating on Theia and other worlds opposed to the Empire. Travis Carpenter made a name for himself in this battle, earning his promotion to Colonel.
• February 13 - Scott Sanburn compiled an extensive report on the remaining United Earth Alliance Defense Force troops and equipment and presented it to the Titan System provisional government. The after-action reports were the first of many sweeping changes to the doctrine of the remaining Terran government officials.
• February 16 - Uber-General Tischler began to push into Imperial territory immediately after chasing Robert Marshall out of the Titan System. Rather than risk a deadly battle in the deeply entrenched colony worlds, Tischler began threatening to use a deadly virus. This virus, the Apöt, was developed by Anderung forces to kill humans.
• February 26 - The city of New Dallas on Theia, long abandoned due to the war effort, was repopulated and opened to immigration. Many war refugees from the Empire made their homes here, as did many Mesarthrim seeking to enjoy Terran life.
• February 27 - The science facilities of Dr. Brenstein, the chief scientist of the Empire, were infected by the Apöt Virus. Only Brenstein survived, and then only by injecting himself nearly constantly with a life-saving anti-viral serum he developed. Without assistance, he would soon die.

• March 3 - Professor Josiah MacArthur Hlow's science cruiser approached Brenstein's facility, and Hlow helped Brenstein develop a more permanent solution to the Apöt Virus. Emperor Lucius Black gave Hlow a full pardon for his life-saving work.
• March 6 - F-4E Raven variant begins production at all fighter aircraft factories controlled by the Onyx Empire.

• April 5 - The United Mesarthrim Clans Kriegsmarine and Heer invaded the Proxima Procyon System. The Royal Imperial Navy forces there managed to keep the Mesarthrim forces at bay.
• April 7 - Royal Imperial Navy Rear Admiral Oswald Voss manages to destroy many United Mesarthrim Clans fighters in a surprise attack.
• April 22 - The Empire's Proxima Procyon System Core Fleet breaks under the force of the United Mesarthrim Clans Kriegsmarine's attacks. Oswald Voss is captured by the Mesarthrim.
• April 23 - The United Mesarthrim Clans Heer defeats all Bethija garrisons.
• April 24 - The Royal Imperial Labs headquarters on Pluto is attacked by Volucris, marking First Contact between Volucris and Terrans. Josiah MacArthur Hlow and some of his assistants were abducted. The Volucris withdrew before the Empire could react. No one discovered the cause or motivation of the attack until 2324.
• April 28 - Grand Admiral Anthony Hadrian revealed to the Empire that Lucius Black was the one who destroyed the planet Torimur and betrayed his own troops in the First Exodus War. To this day, Hadrian has kept his sources secret, but in the aftermath of receiving this information, nearly half of the forces of the Empire joined with Hadrian in a rebellion that became known as the Prefecture.
• April 29 - The United Mesarthrim Clans High Command met to discuss the reports that the Empire was in the first throes of what would become known as the Imperial Civil War.
• April 30 - Lucius Black publicly denounced Anthony Hadrian, and ordered his arrest and immediate execution. This command resulted in the first shooting battles of the Imperial Civil War.

• May 23 - After an initial retreat from Terra, which had troops mostly loyal to Lucius Black, Anthony Hadrian's forces returned. Hundreds of Royal Imperial Army troops loyal to Hadrian organized themselves into the Legion of the Phoenix--a name inspired by their leader Travis Carpenter. The Legion of the Phoenix began assaults on the southeast regions of North America, the industrial centers of Central Asia, and the heavy metal mining centers of the Middle East.
• May 24 - The United Mesarthrim Clans High Command approved supporting the Prefecture, and formally recognized them as a government. Andreas Tischler began preparations to invade Terra with his own forces.
• May 25 - The United Mesarthrim Clans sent reinforcements to assist the Prefecture, landing in Australia, South America, West Africa, and Northern Russia.
• May 26 - The Crimson Tide Battle Group, under the command of Nathan Hinks, reinforced the United Mesarthrim Clans forces already on Terra.
• May 27 - Travis Carpenter landed forces in Canaveral, Florida, as the first step in the campaign to wrestle the new world capital of Memphis from Lucius Black's forces.
• May 29 - The Imperial forces defending Australia were completely neutralized by the United Mesarthrim Clans Heer.

• June 3 - Ben Parman and Arnold Stadt did not approve of the United Mesarthrim Clans recognizing and allying with the Prefecture. They attacked the Kalidasa System against direct orders, destroying several Imperial forces, but also killing many members of the Kalidasa Resistance and their Prefecture contacts. Imperial Rear Admiral Ramesh Jethro was able to drive off the Mesarthrim attack. Both Mesarthrim commanders were arrested when they returned to Mesar in disgrace.
• June 7 - The Prefecture forces in the Middle East were wiped out by heavy Imperial attacks, along with nuclear strikes. Hadrian decided not to push his luck by sending in more forces, and instead stepped up operations in North America and Central Asia.
• June 12 - The forced exile to the Cinaed System of all Mesarthrim political dissidents was going badly. Many large cities were burned to the ground, and hundreds of people were killed in riots.
• June 13 - The Mesarthrim moved from its foothold in Australia to assault the Pacific islands. The resistance was light, and the Mesarthrim Heer pounded its way through every Imperial base and stronghold.
• June 14 - The Mesarthrim High Command decided to pardon Arnold Stadt and Ben Parman rather than lose such valued officers, but reduced their pay by several grades, and imprisoned their families in rather comfortable facilities to ensure the continued loyalty of the Commandants.
• June 25 - Several more cities on Mesar were burned to the ground, but now the Mesarthrim rebels were equipped with heavy weaponry provided by Omegas agents.

• July 1 - Several thousand Mesarthrim rebels were killed when they were trapped by the United Mesarthrim Clans Heer in one of the cities they'd already begun to burn.
• July 10 - David Carpenter, Lucius Black's best Rig pilot and general, was sent to the North American front lines to face off against the Prefecture. He butchered "Zebra Recon Company," leaving only Tyra Doyle alive to report back to Travis Carpenter
• July 19 - Despite the uprisings back home and a loss of some support from the Clan Lords, the United Mesarthrim Clans Heer remobilized on Terra and soon captured the entirety of the Pacific islands.

• August 5 - Prefecture forces renewed their assault in the southeastern region of North America in their march towards Memphis. For days, they pounded the lines of Imperial forces with heavy artillery, and began moving forward. The Prefecture had air superiority, but they were taking heavy losses in the air and needed fighter reinforcements.
• August 6 - Prefecture carriers orbiting Jupiter sent thirty-six F-11 Stuka heavy fighters to reinforce the fighters on Terra's surface. While passing through the Sol System asteroid belt, the Stukas were ambushed by a Remnant warship under the command of Gaius Shadar, and were slaughtered. Only six escaped the belt, and those were finished off by an Imperial fighter squadron on the other side.
• August 7 - Andreas Tischler took personal command of the Mesarthrim forces on Terra and began preparations to assault Okinawa.
• August 14 - Mesarthrim forces began their assault on Okinawa, but were repulsed by heavy Imperial defenses. Uber General Tischler called for the assistance of the United Earth Alliance Defense Force.
• August 16 - At the urging of Scott Sanburn, the Titan System provisional government authorized the remains of the United Earth Alliance Defense Force to mobilize for an invasion of Terra.
• August 19 - The force behind the asteroid belt ambush made their presence known. They were the Remnant, the last pure descendants of the Anthronoris. Gaius Shadar, their commander, publicly introduced himself to Lucius Black and offered the services of the Remnant's warship in the area for the defense of Terra.
• August 20 - Andreas Tischler sent a mocking, defiant transmission to Gaius Shadar, attempting to provoke him into getting involved in combat on the ground.
• August 25 - The Prefecture managed to make an Adin Band jump into orbit of Terra with one of their carriers, and began delivering much-needed fighters.
• August 27 - Throughout the Second Exodus War, the Meroniri Terinasi had done little but pay lip service to the defeat of the Empire and the restoration of peace. When Gaius Shadar's presence on Terra became widely known, the Meroniri Terinasi suddenly declared war on the Remnant and mobilized several ships from Aseta Salfore to capture Shadar's ship.
• August 28 - The first reinforcements from the Titan System, under the command of Scott Sanburn arrived in Australia to assist the United Mesarthrim Clans and Prefecture forces.

• September 18 - Canaveral Starport fell to the forces of the Prefecture. This decisive battle forced the Empire to begin retreating north towards Memphis. Lucius Black withdrew to his secret sanctuary in the arctic.
• September 20 - Since the first Mesarthrim attack on Kalidasa, partisan forces led by Evaristo Silveira began actively resisting Imperial rule. They were finally successful when the Mesarthrim sent in forces to aid them. Kalidasa was secured when many Royal Imperial Army units revealed their Prefecture loyalties and surrendered to Silveira.
• September 21 - Travis Carpenter's forces from the Legion of the Phoenix attacked Orlando, an important crossroads in the main roads from the seaports to the northern part of the peninsula. Carpenter's forces captured the city, then repelled an Imperial counter-attack
• September 22 - After their success on Kalidasa, the United Mesarthrim Clans sent their Myt'gaul special forces to destroy the Alpha Centauri Shipyards. The mission was only partially successful. Several Royal Imperial Navy warships under construction were destroyed, but the explosives meant for the shipyards themselves were disarmed or removed safely. No Myt'gaul were killed or injured in the operation.
• September 23 - The Mesarthrim routed the Imperial forces holding the Japanese islands. The Omegas launched a secret mission to keep the island and its key intelligence installations out of Mesarthrim hands. They detonated every nuclear warhead in the silos beneath the surface. The devastation sank several of the islands, killing millions of civilians and soldiers, Imperial and Mesarthrim alike.

• October 4 - Scott Sanburn joined Andreas Tischler in the Asia regions, and sent others in his forces to reinforce Travis Carpenter in the North American region. Within hours, the Royal Imperial Army attacked the three invading forces on all fronts.
• October 6 - Gaius Shadar and Rosh Arufin clashed in a brief battle over Mars between the Remnant warship and two war cruisers of Aseta Salfore.
• October 13 - After careful planning and preparation, Roger Morris finally managed to falsify transmitted orders that convinced the Imperial garrisons at Oronus to return to Terra. A Mesarthrim liberation force arrived later in the day to discover the slave colony already in the hands of its workers. This was the birth of the Oronus Worker's Coalition.
• October 14 - Arnold Stadt led a liberation force into the Tau Ceti System. The Kalmar Resistance and Prefecture-loyal elements of the Royal Imperial Army were waiting and ready, and struck the Imperial garrisons on the ground when Arnold Stadt sent a demand for unconditional surrender to the Imperial governor. Kalmar was liberated in a day.

• November 6 - The newly-launched FDS Avenger and FDS Omaha intercepted and destroyed the carrier group led by the HMS Irtysh in the Alpha Centauri System.
• November 18 - A team of the Prefecture's Army Hunters are sent to Ah Kin to extract Dr. Erika Strout.
• November 19 - The FDS Avenger intercepts and extracts the Army Hunter team and Dr. Strout.
