[edit] Events of 2327
The CIN will still form in 2325, as planned, but the Tempest War will no longer begin until 2327. "A Grand Affair" will take place in 2325, but the antimatter wells the Reigens open will not produce noticeable product until late 2327 and mid 2328.
[edit] January
Meroniri stability was seriously called into question when five of their ships of the line disappeared without a trace in a single day. Probes into the disappearance are hampered by government red tape, so Rosh Arufin, one of their veteran combat captains, begins investigations of his own.

[edit] February
With the Alliance of Planets' stability in question, and environmental aid to Lorithan beginning to falter, the Lorithos launched one of their most ambitious projects since the creation of the Hightowers--a concentrated effort to find a suitable colony for a Diaspora Colony--total planetary evacuation.

[edit] May
The Alliance of Planets' relations with outside factions completely fails when the Meroniri opt to completely sever ties with all members of the Council of Independent Nations. Embassies are shut down and diplomats are forced out of Meroniri space.
The initial Mesarthrim blitzkrieg into Prefecture territory was unstoppable. It sent the Prefecture's forces reeling, loss after loss, across the Laojiu District, crushing every strategic hold they held in the galaxy's bread-basket.

More have died in the last two days, cutting the Prefecture down to half their original strength.
- May 25 - By the end of the day, the Prefecture in the Fathach Méire are completely routed. Fully two thirds of their men are dead or taken prisoner, and the remaining third is in a running battle from the peak to the southern foothills and the relative safety of Tara'dar Coirp.
- May 31 - Cornered in Tara'dar Coirp
[edit] June
In retaliation for the outrageous Meroniri actions, Dirken Huern opts to abandon the Alliance of Planets, and is nearly murdered as a result. Only the watchful agents of Mait Onega keep him from being assassinated by the frantic civilian population.
Rosh Arufin's expeditionary probe begins to make some disturbing discoveries into the lost starships on the border. He decides to take his ship into the perilous Teeth of Orion, an area full of dangers most of his young crew know nothing about.
Despite their advantage in numbers, the Prefecture fails to hold Labrea, their sole remaining world in the Laojiu District. Cornered and under siege in Tara'dar Coirp, Colonel Parrish and the Laojiu Regulars are unable to break out. The Laojiu District, once conquered, does not go easily into the hands of the Mesarthrim. At first, Casere resists, sabotaging Mesarthrim attempts at taking over the farming industry. The execution of the governor halts the resistance on Casere, but sparks up pockets of resistance on other Laojiu worlds.

[edit] July
The Prefecture does not roll over and die simply from the loss of their major food producing worlds. They tighten their belts, and pay the hefty price of buying their own food back through third party shippers. In the meantime, two important technology and military projects near completion as the mustering of the legions comes to an end.

[edit] August
The Tempest War rages on in August as the Mesarthrim seek to starve the Prefecture into submission. The Ikronin join the war in earnest, as they surge into battle to protect their precious cargo ships wantonly slaughtered by Mesarthrim raids.
Rosh Arufin's mission into the Teeth of Orion has uncovered the truth: the Ngrligru are not behind the recent destruction of Meroniri patrol vessels. In fact, the Ngrligru are suffering from serious losses of their own. Arufin meets with an Ngrligru Kuu, and learns of the Fleet of the Dead.

[edit] September
The month of September marked a brief lull in the fight between the Prefecture and the United Centusi States. The Mesarthrim make a cunning political move, setting up an "independent" government in the Laojiu District, the Free Laojiu Republic. With this move, galactic politics begin to turn in favor of the Mesarthrim.
Diplomacy never wins wars, but it does win allies. The Prefecture's top leaders meet secretly with the Titanian leadership, and soon afterwards the Titanians adopt a neutral stance on the war, offering to act as mediators and as P.O.W. wellbeing monitors.
The Lorithos' deep range exploration vessel has made many new discoveries, including several suitable worlds to call home. Dirken Huern's popularity, once so low that assassination attempts were made daily, now soars to new heights. Preparations are made to move the population to New Lorithan, when the Tehniat makes an incredible discovery.

[edit] October
Their first foray into Tejat in July was no feint. The Mesarthrim commit their forces in strength to taking the Tejat District and rooting out the remains of the Inquisitors. The Prefecture Legions, at full strength and with new starship drives bringing them across the stars, are deployed en masse to meet them.
Rosh Arufin returns to Sepulare with the truth behind the disappearances, only to be met by cold reality: Naimen Ladosen already knew. The secret behind the shift in Meroniri society comes to light with terrifying alacrity as sweeping changes are made to the Terinasi. Arufin finds himself on the run from his own government.
- October 18 - Beware, Sindh
[edit] November
Fronde has proven a hardier target than the Mesarthrim expected. Their planned launching point for a blitz into the Tejat District has dragged out for over a month. The supposed "sparsely populated" world with excellent landing sites and troop deployment zones has been turned into a death trap by the Inquisitors, and the Mesarthrim are locked in mortal combat with five Prefecture Legions and the increasingly deadly Prefecture Marine Corps.
