The HMS Atlas was the lead ship in the carrier class of the same name. It was also the first carrier of the Royal Imperial Navy, and was therefore given the hull designation CV-1.
The ship was commissioned into the Royal Imperial Navy in 2302. Its air arm squadrons were initially equipped with F-4 Ravens, but eventually equipped with the F-9 Valkyrie, which was far superior in carrier operations.
