Jurekön Flygvapnet

The Flygvapnet of the Ikronin Jurekön is the bravest and most warlike of the branches of service in the Ikronin military. The pilots are free spirits, roaming the galaxy on their own when not on duty.

Flygvapnet pilots have two jobs--escorting the Kopman Marinen, and exploring the galaxy for new resources. Most pilots prefer the latter of the two, and the Ikronin have charted more territory than any of the other human races--though they rarely settle anywhere. The Ikronin are interested in resources other than land.

Fighters are the most common Merchant Fleet defenders. Most The Flygvapnet uses the Merkurius and Rovriddare mostly in atmospheric operations, and the Tornfalk as its primary space fighter, though all of their designs function well in both air and space. The Skratta Måsen heavy fighter is a beast to handle, but is most frequently seen outside the Consortium: it has the space to allow an Ikronin pilot to bring the supplies necessary to explore and travel for long periods of time.

While the Ikronin rarely attack anyone, they do keep the Fafnir torpedo bomber in use and keep their pilots trained in it.
