National Symbol of the Federated Districts of the Prefecture

When Anthony Hadrian began organizing the Resistance, he named all of the allied groups "the Prefecture", and made their symbol the Raven. The Raven was already a powerful symbol in the Empire due to its prominence as the name of their symbolic superiority fighter, the F-4 Raven.

The Emperor's favorite symbol for his Empire was a wolf, to go with his saying "I will be as a wolf among their sheep." Hadrian began to turn it around and used the phrase "when the wolves fall out, the ravens will come into their own."

As part of the symbolism of the new government, the Consul keeps a raven in their office. Chris Dayton treated his like a pet and usually allowed it to fly loose when he did not have official guests. Talaris Roi didn't like the mess, and had an aviary built outside of her office to keep with tradition but to avoid letting a bird roam around a place of government business.
