The Sol Sector is the heart of the Terran race's territory. It has been the focus of a great amount of recent military and economic history. Sol is the most populated star system in the sector, followed by Alpha Centauri.
For many years, the Sol Sector was the heart of the United Earth Alliance, and for some time the Alliance of Planets sponsored an important energy research lab on Zardos.
The Sol Sector is one of the smallest charted sectors, only 20LY turnwise/counterturn, and 40LY coreward/hubward. The Sol Sector is centered on Sol itself.

[edit] Inhabited Star Systems
The Sol System, Alpha Centauri System, Tau Ceti System, Proxima Procyon System, and Lyrae System are currently inhabited. Most of these worlds are large population centers and important in the interstellar economy.
[edit] Sirius Cluster
The Sirius Cluster of inhabited worlds is technically within the Sol Sector, but the locals refuse to integrate with any human government. Their worlds are categorized separately from the rest of the Sol Sector.
[edit] Algedi Cluster
The Algedi Cluster is a small area of space, and is the property of the Federated Districts of the Prefecture. The Theta Algedi System, Gamma Algedi System and Zeta Algedi System can be located here. Because of their close proximity, the Algedi Cluster worlds are categorized separately from the rest of the Sol Sector.
[edit] Uninhabited Star Systems
There are hundreds of completely uncharted stars in every sector. The Sol Sector has several charted stars that either have not been explored, or do not have worlds in the inhabitable zone to colonize. There are several stars which are occasionally visited for resources but are not claimed by any government. Barnard's Star, Ross 154, Lacaille 9352, Struve 2398, DX Cancri, YZ Ceti, Luyten's Star, Kapteyn's Star, Kruger 60 and Van Maanen's Star are of interest to most civilizations, but not enough to warrant permanent installations. The Epsilon Indi System was once inhabitted, but was destroyed.
