Tavou is the XXth planet in the Mimosa System.

Tavou is relatively wealthy. Its key export is small reactor cores, used in many varieties of personal vehicles. Blazton Heavy Industries' civilian vehicle department is the main client of the reactor factories on Tavou.
Because of the frequent Volucris attacks, side-arms and light assault weapons are manufactured on Tavou. Ammunition is produced at a rate double of every other ammo plant in the entire Prefecture, approximately two hundred billion rounds of ammo every year.
Tavou grows enough food to supply itself and bolster the food supplies of the other District worlds, and it still has enough to export. It's nothing like the humongous export rate of the Liaden District, but it does augment the economy of the Tavou District nicely.
One interesting landmark of Tavou is Bugtown, as it is affectionately called by the Tavou Regulars. Bugtown is the site of 47 Volucris raids and attacks. No one has figured out why they enjoy attacking this particular area, but Colonel Russell has installed static defenses which soften up the raiders significantly before the Tavou Regulars attack.
Tavou is the hub world of the district, and because of the presence of aGate to the Ueda District, Tavou has a garrison fleet of ten warships. Usually a ground garrison is only augmented by Aerospace forces or a single warship.
Because of the constant Volucris threat, the Icronians have a regional office in Tavou, as well as the other three Tavou District worlds. Instead of relying on the Ansible network to relay computerized commands to theirGates, they have permanent crews ready to shut down the Gates in the event of a full-scale Bugger invasion.
