[edit] History
When the Titan System was discovered by the United Earth Alliance, it was the first proof of non-Earth based intelligent life for the Terran race. The surface of Theia and several other worlds were covered in Anthronoris ruins.
The excited Terrans immigrated to the world in record numbers, settling on Titan City. The world was expected to be the scientific and archaeological discovery of the century, until the Meroniri made First Contact with Earth a few months later.
Despite the archaeological finds being overshadowed by the Terrans joining the interstellar community, the discoveries on Theia continued to expand the understanding of galactic history.
Theia's population continued to expand, becoming a major Terran population center. It became a sovereign state of the United Earth Alliance rather than a mere protectorate, and held its first elections in 2120, electing its own Premier and Assembly.
By the late 23rd Century, the bulk of the Alliance Defense Force was stationed on Theia and other worlds in the Titan System, due to the strained relations with the Reigens and because the Njiorin Sector was the frontier for the United Earth Alliance. This distribution of military power made Theia the logical rallying point for the survivors of the Alliance military when the Onyx Empire began its murderous rampage through other Terran worlds.
The Second Exodus War saw its turning point in favor of the coalition forces in the Titan System, mostly due to the efforts of Scott Sanburn and Andreas Tischler, operating out of Theia. Theia also housed the provisional government of the United Earth Alliance from 2315 until 2324.
After the United Earth Alliance was dissolved in 2324, Theia and the other worlds of the Titan System joined the Colonial Commonwealth.
[edit] Arges
So far, the Arges continent, which is in the northern and eastern hemisphere of the planet, is the only one which has seen any colonization effort. Titan City is the capital of the Titan System and Theia, and is the site of the first Terran landing on the planet. Titan City and its surroundings are found in the southern peninsula of the continent. New Dallas is on the northwestern part of the continent, nestled in a gap in the Kaufman Mountain range, near Lake Denton, an enormous freshwater lake.
[edit] Brontes
The Brontes continent has several archaeological digs at any given moment. It has the most ruins from the era of the Anthronoris, and many ruins from afterwards, suggesting that some of Theia’s original inhabitants survived the Sundering, but did not survive for long.
[edit] Steropes
Steropes is located in the southern hemisphere, and is mostly devoid of ruins and appears to have been of little use to the Anthronoris.
